Some conventions are for fun. Others are for business. All are exhausting. After a long day walking the floor, the last thing you want to do is travel far to your hotel room. We found 5 hotels near Washington DC all within 5 miles of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Washington DC hotels don’t come any more convenient, or reasonably priced, than the ones that made our list.
Comfort Inn Downtown – This is one of the Washington DC Hotels that you can walk from to the convention center. Business travelers appreciate the free high-speed internet access, weekday newspaper and deluxe continental breakfast. The business center offers access to fax and secretarial services, as well. Quality Inn – With its free, close-to-the-room parking, this hotel is two miles from the Convention Center and works well for conventioneers who load and unload each day. Free continental breakfast and wireless high-speed internet access are also a selling point. For conventioneers traveling with families, the seasonal outdoor pool will keep them entertained. Rooms also include a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Comfort Inn & Suites Near Union Station – The selling point of this hotel has to be the in-room Whirlpool bathtubs. Relaxing in one would be the perfect way to unwind after a long day at the convention center. Deluxe continental breakfast, wireless high-speed internet access, weekday newspaper and parking are among the free amenities. Rooms feature a microwave, flat-screen TV with free HBO, and coffee maker. If you’ve already visited Washington, DC, consider staying in one of the many Arlington hotels. Virginia doesn’t seem too far away now, does it?
